ICP9806

Affinity purified rabbit polyclonal phospho-serine antibodies are developed using a phospho-serine-KLH conjugate and phosvitin mixture as the immunogen. The phospho-serine specific antibodies were affinity purified with serine-phosphorylated peptide immobilized on agarose. This affinity purified antibody showed higher affinity than phospho-serine antibodies from another source.

Lane1-2:  Kinase untreated
Lane 3-6: kinase treated with phosphatase PP1G
Western blot analysis of phosphorylated proteins with UV-treated mouse cell lysates.
A: Control
B-D: Treatment with increased UV dose
E: Phosphatase inhibitor treatment
High affinity anti-phospho-serine antibody recognizes phospho-proteins (Carbonic anhydrase, phosvitin and α-casein) but not non-phospho proteins (ovalbumin, BSA, β-lactoglobulin, trypsinogen)

Specificity

Scientific Description

Serine is one of the 20 naturally occurring amino acids. Kinases phosphorylate serine to phospho-serine which is responsible for various signalling processes in eukaryotes.


Storage & Stability

Product is stable for several weeks at 4°C. For extended storage, store product at -20°C. Expiration date is one year from date of shipping if stored properly.
