The
antibodies are developed from goat using affinity purified chicken IgY as the
immunogen. The chicken IgY-specific antibodies from the goat immune serum are
purified using chicken IgY ligand affinity chromatography, followed by affinity
absorption with human serum albumin and IgY from human, mouse, chicken and
swine. These highly specific anti-chicken IgY antibodies are useful for
detection, identification, quantization, isolation and localization of chicken IgY.
