ICP9801 The antibodies are developed from goat using affinity purified rabbit IgG as the immunogen. The rabbit IgG-specific antibodies from the goat immune serum are purified using rabbit IgG ligand affinity chromatography, followed by affinity absorption with human serum albumin and IgG from human, mouse, chicken and swine. These highly specific anti-rabbit IgG antibodies are useful for detection, identification, quantization, isolation and localization of rabbit IgG. |

Scientific Description

IgG is a monomeric immunoglobulin. It is composed of two heavy chains and two light chains. Each IgG has two antigen binding sites. It is the most abundant immunoglobulin in the blood and tissue. It provides protection against many kinds of bacteria, viruses, fungi as well as optimizing phagocytosis and neutralizing bacterial toxins.
